The Related Users feature in Segura is designed for situations where the same person uses different usernames across various systems or devices in the company. With this feature, you can link all these different usernames to a single account.
Consider a user named Alice Woods. In Segura, her username is awoods
. However, elsewhere in the company, she uses woods
to access computer A and alicewoods
to access computer B.
Without this feature, Segura would only recognize the username awoods
. In other words, Alice would only be able to access credentials that match this exact username.
With the Related Users function, you can register other usernames, such as alicewoods
or woods
, and associate them with Alice’s main account. This way, whenever the [#USERNAME#]
mask is used in an access group, both the main and related usernames will be recognized and used automatically.
