This document provides information about the Edit screen, which allows you to modify the data of devices identified during discovery or registered manually on Segura.

Path to access

  1. On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Discovery.
  2. In the side menu, select Discoveries > Devices.
  3. In the selected record, click the Actions button, and select Edit.

Device import tab

This tab provides information about editing the general details of the device.

Item Type Required Description
Site* Dropdown menu Yes Defines the division the device is listed in.
Device type* Dropdown menu Yes Defines the device type.
Vendor* Dropdown menu Yes Defines the manufacturer related to the device.
Product* Dropdown menu Yes The vendor’s product name. Also used for setting web session parameters.

Plugins/Port tab

This tab provides information about editing the plugin used to interact with the device and related port configurations.

Item Type Required Description
Search plugin* Dropdown menu Yes Defines the plugin Segura will use to collect information from the device.
Port(s) Text field No Defines the communication ports used by the selected plugin.
Monitor unauthorized access?* Radio button Yes Defines whether the system should monitor and alert on unauthorized access attempts.
Enable?* Toggle button Yes Activates or deactivates the use of the plugin.

Credentials import tab

This tab provides information about editing credentials associated with the device.

Item Type Required Description
Type of default credential Dropdown menu No Defines the credential used for standard operations.
Type of privileged credential Dropdown menu No Defines the credential used for privileged operations.
Enable automatic password change settings Toggle button No Enables the system to rotate passwords based on policies automatically.
Change plugin Dropdown menu No Selects the plugin used for the change operation.
Change template Dropdown menu No Selects the change template that defines the command sequence.
Use own credential to connect Toggle button No Defines whether the device should use its own credentials for access.
Access credential Dropdown menu No Selects the credential used to access the device.

Connectivity import tab

This tab provides information about editing the connectivity options used to access the device.

Item Type Required Description
Add/Remove selected Button No Adds rows to the table.
Connectivity table Table No The connection protocol will be used to start a proxy session, change passwords, and connect to other modules. The fields are Connectivity and Port.

Extra domains tab

This tab provides information about editing additional domain associations for the device.

Item Type Required Description
Domain Dropdown menu No Defines the domain to which the device belongs.

Review tab

Use the Review tab to check all the information entered in the previous tabs.
