How to import discovered devices

This guide explains how to import one or more devices discovered after running a domain discovery in the Segura® platform.

Import discovered devices

  1. Go to Discovery > Devices in the left navigation menu.
  2. Use the filters at the top of the screen to locate the discovered devices you want to import.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the desired device.
  4. Click Import devices in the upper right corner.
  5. In the confirmation dialog that appears, click Yes to proceed.

Fill in device information

  1. Provide the following information for the device:

    • Management IP: The IP address used to manage the device.
    • Static IP: The device’s static IP address, if applicable.
    • Device name: The name identifying the device. Can be a hostname, IP, URL, site name, or application name.
    • Description: Description of the device or additional identification.
    • Site: The physical location of the device. All sites registered in Segura® will be listed.
    • Type: Type of the device. All registered types will be available.
    • Vendor: The device manufacturer. All registered vendors will be listed.
    • Model: The model of the device. All registered models will be listed.
    • Connectivity: Protocol used to access the device. The Segura® default connectivity will be shown.
    • Port: Communication port number. This field is pre-filled with the default port for the selected protocol.

  2. After completing all required fields, click Save to finalize the import.
