This document provides information about the Import a device screen, which allows you to manually register new devices found during discovery or added manually.
Path to access
- On Segura®, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Discovery.
- In the side menu, select Discoveries > Devices.
- In the selected record, click the Actions button, and select Import device.
Information for new equipment section
This section provides details about the device’s general information.
Item | Type | Required | Description |

Device name (Hostname, IP, url ou website name, application name)* | Text field | Yes | The device name is how this device is referenced in Segura®, such as in device groups. |
Management IP* | Text field | Yes | A network IP address for Segura to connect to this device. |
Site* | Dropdown menu | Yes | Defines the division the device is listed in. |
Device type* | Dropdown menu | Yes | Defines the device type. |
Vendor* | Dropdown menu | Yes | Defines the manufacturer related to the device. |
Product* | Dropdown menu | Yes | The vendor’s product name. Also used for setting web session parameters. |
Tags | Text field | No | Words that characterize the device. |
Connectivity section
This section provides configuration options for how the system connects to the device.

Add/Remove selected | Button | No | Adds a row to the table. |
Connectivity | Table | No | The connection protocol will be used to start a proxy session, change passwords, and connect to other modules. The fields are Connectivity and Port. |

This section provides information about domain associations for the device.
