This guide explains how to request the execution of an application in EPM macOS when the associated policy requires multiple levels of approval, with more than one approver per level.
Requirements
- The application must be associated with a policy that includes tiered approval.
- EPM macOS must be installed and active on the device.
Requesting execution with multiple approval levels
- Left double click to open the desired application to open it through the OS or EPM macOS screen.
- In the form displayed:
- Fill in the Justification field with the reason for the request.
- Enter the Start date/time and End date/time for the execution window.
- Click Submit request.
A confirmation message will be displayed: "The execution of this application has been requested from the administrator. Once approved, execution will be allowed."
What happens after submission
- The request is sent to the approvers of the first level.
- Approval from all approvers at the current level is required before moving to the next level.
- Execution will only be allowed after all approval levels have fully approved the request.
