Reference for directory and file control

This document provides information about the Directory and file control screen, which allows the creation, editing, and management of segregation rules applied to directories and files in Windows environments.

Access Path

  1. On Segura, on the navigation bar, hover over the Product Menu and select EPM.
  2. In the sidebar menu, select Policies > Windows Addons > Directory and file control.

Actions Menu

Item Type Description
Add Button Directs to the Segregation screen. On this screen, you can select one of the following Segregation types: General and Device.
Actions Dropdown menu Displays the options Print report, Export CSV, and Schedule report.

Search Fields

Item Type Description
Code Text field Filters the directory by code.
Name Text field Filters the directory by name.
Type Dropdown menu Filters the directory by type. The options are: General and Device*.* Clear the field to enable the All option.
Include Date picker Filters by the date the record was added.
Inclusion User Text field Filters by the user who created the record.
Change date Date picker Filters by the date of the last modification.
User of change Text field Filters by the user who last modified the record.
Status Dropdown menu Filters the directory by status. The options are: Yes or No. Clear the field to enable the All option.

Report fields

  • Code.
  • Name.
  • Segregation: displays the selected segregation type.
  • Status.
  • Include.
  • Inclusion User.
  • Change date.
  • User of change.
  • Actions:
    • Edit: open the Directory and file control screen for necessary changes to be made. Only the directory type previously selected during the addition process can be edited.

By default, the report displays 30 records per screen. To go to the next screen, click the forward buttons at the end of the report.
