Reference for directory and file scan device

This document provides information about the Directory and file scan screen, under the Device option, which allows you to create and configure access rules by linking specific devices. This feature reinforces security by ensuring policies only apply to previously authorized devices.

Access Path

  1. On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Product Menu and select EPM.
  2. In the side menu, select Policies > Windows Addons > Directory and file scan.
  3. On the Access policies screen, click the Add button.
  4. On the Segregation screen, click the Devices button.

General tab

This tab provides the main parameters required to create an scan policy.

Item Type Required Description
Name* Text field Yes Defines the name of the scan policy.
Status* Radio button Yes Defines the status of the policy. The options are Enabled or Disabled.
Registered paths Table No Lists the registered paths.
Add Button No Opens the modal to add a new path or file pattern to the table of registered paths.

New Path modal

Item Type Description
Path Text field Allows you to enter the path.
File name or regular expression Text field Allows you to enter the file name or a regular expression.

Devices tab

This tab lets you link devices to the scan policy.

Item Type Required Description
Add Button No Opens the device modal to add new devices to the table.
Devices Table No Table of devices with fields ID, Hostname, Domain, IP, and Operating system.

Devices modal

Item Type Description
Search Text field Allows searching for available devices.
ID Text field Device identifier code.
Hostname Text field Name of the device.
Domain Text field Domain to which the device belongs.
IP Text field IP address of the device.
Operating system Text field Operating system installed on the device.
Add Button Adds the selected devices.
Cancel Button Closes the modal without making changes.

Review tab

Use the Review tab to check all the information entered in the previous steps before completing the policy registration.
