Reference for policies

This document provides information about the Policies screen, which displays the properties and configuration details of a policy registered in the EPM module.

Access Path

  1. On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Product Menu and select EPM.
  2. In the side menu, select Policies > Windows > Access policies.
  3. In the selected record, click the Actions button and select Details.

General tab

Item Description
Category Displays the category assigned to the policy.
Name Displays the name of the access policy.
Status Displays the status of the policy.
Actions Displays the action configured for the policy.

Applications tab

Item Description
Record session of these applications Displays if sessions of these applications are to be recorded.
Control parent process Displays if parent process control is enabled.
Control child process Displays if child process control is enabled.

Criterias and Rules tab

Item Description
Product name Displays the configured product name.
File hash Displays the hash or unique identifier of the file controlled by the policy.
Directory Displays the directory linked to the access policy.

Workflow tab

Item Description
User can elevate applications Displays if the user can request application elevation.
Require reason to elevate applications Displays if a justification is required for elevation.
Require approval to elevate applications Displays if approval is required for elevation.
Approvals required Displays the number of approvals required for elevation.
Disapprovals required to cancel Displays the number of rejections required to cancel the elevation.
Approval in levels Displays if tiered approvals are configured.
Allow emergency access Displays if emergency access is allowed.
Governance ID required when justifying? Displays if entering a governance code is required in the justification.
Always add user manager to approvers? Displays if the user's manager is always added as an approver.
