Reference for sudo rules

This document provides information about the Sudo rules screen, which displays the rules registered for sudo usage on MacOS devices.

Path to access

  1. On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select EPM.
  2. In the side menu, select Policies > macOS > Acces policies..

Actions menu

Item Type Description
Add Button Directs to the Segregation screen.
Actions Dropdown menu Displays the options Print report, Export CSV, and Schedule report.

Search fields

Item Type Description
Code Text field Filters rules by code.
Name Text field Filters rules by the registered name.
Segregation Dropdown menu Filters by the type of rule segregation. Options are General, Device or User. Clear the field to enable the All option.
Commands for rule enforcement Dropdown menu Filters rules by associated commands.
Nopasswd Text field Filters rules that require sudo with or without password. Options are Yes and No. Clear the field to enable the All option.
Status Dropdown menu Filters rules by status. Options are Yes and No. Clear the field to enable the All option.

Report fields

  • Code.
  • Name.
  • Segregation.
  • Commands for rule enforcement.
  • Nopasswd.
  • Status.
  • Actions:
    • Edit: opens the Registration rules for sudo screen to make the necessary changes. Only the policy type previously selected during the addition process can be edited.
    • Details: displays the complete information of the rule.
    • Clone: creates a copy of the selected rule with the same parameters. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog to complete the action.
    • Disable: disables the current rule. Click Yes in the confirmation dialog to complete the action.

By default, the report displays 30 records per page. To go to the next page, click the forward buttons at the end of the report.
