How to create Azure users

This document provides information on how to create Azure users directly on Cloud Entitlements.

Requisites

An Azure account in Read and Write integration mode.

Create Azure users

To create Azure users in Cloud Entitlements, see the following steps:

  1. Access Cloud Security.
  2. Access the Cloud Entitlements product.
  3. In the Cloud Entitlements menu, click Identities.
  4. Click + Add and select New Azure entity.
  5. In the Basics tab, enter the following information:
    1. In the Azure account field, select the Azure account.
    2. In the User principal name * field, enter a name for the user.
    3. In the Domain field, select the domain of the Azure account.
    4. In the Main nickname * field, enter a nickname for the email.
      1. You can select the Derive from user principal name checkbox to create a mail nickname from the username.
    5. In the Display name * field, enter a display name.
    6. In the Password * field, save the generated password. Note that you won’t be able to view this password after creating the user, and you will be prompted to change it upon your first login.
  6. Click Next.
  7. In the Assignments tab, enter the following information:
    1. In the Subscription field, select the Azure subscription, and select the assignments.
  8. Click Next.
  9. In the Review + create tab, review the information entered previously and click Create.

The created user will appear in the Identities report.
