How to register a line of business

  1. On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select DevOps Secret Manager.
  2. In the side menu, select Management > Lines of Business.
  3. Click the Add button.
  4. In the Lines of Business form:
    1. Name: give a name to your line of business.
    2. Status: select if you want your line of business to be created as active.
    3. Description: enter a description for the registered line of business. This description will help you understand what the registered line of business is about.
  5. Click Save.

Edit a line of business

  1. On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select DevOps Secret Manager.
  2. In the side menu, select Management > Lines of Business.
  3. On the Lines of business list, click the Actions button and select Edit.
  4. The Lines of business form will open in edit mode.
  5. Modify the information according to your needs and click Save.

Inactivate a line of business

  1. On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select DevOps Secret Manager.
  2. In the side menu, select Management > Lines of Business.
  3. On the Lines of business list, click the Actions button and select Edit.
  4. The Line of Business form will open in edit mode; modify the Status field by unselecting it.
  5. Click Save.

When inactivated, the line of business becomes unavailable in all applications and will no longer appear in the previously registered applications. Note that inactivating a line of business can affect the settings of access groups. For example, users can lose/gain access depending on the configuration made.

Reactivate a line of business

  1. On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select DevOps Secret Manager.
  2. In the side menu, select Management > Lines of Business.
  3. On the Lines of business list, click the Actions button and select Edit.
  4. The Line of Business form will open in edit mode; modify the Status field by reselecting it.
  5. Click Save.
Important

The reactivated line of business won't be added back to the applications to which it was previously linked. So, if you inactivate a line of business, it loses its relationship with the application, and when you reactivate it, this relationship won't be re-established automatically.
