How to configure a remote session (proxy)

This document provides information about a step-by-step on how to configure the global parameters for your remote session (proxy).

Configure a session

To understand the meaning of each parameter, access the System parameters - Remote session document.

Attention

All fields are set with a default value, as recommended by Segura. However, you can customize your session according to your needs.

  1. In Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Product Menu and select Settings.
  2. Select System Parameters > Global.
  3. On the Remote session tab, fill in the required fields, identified with an asterisk.
  4. In the General section, if necessary, modify the parameters below:
    1. Enable real-time livestream?*
    2. Enable RemoteApp in the session?*
    3. Number of simultaneous user sessions (zero indicates unlimited)*
    4. Enable file transfer for Download?*
    5. Enable file transfer for Upload?*
      Important

      The Enable file transfer parameter underwent a beta update and was divided into two parameters: Enable file transfer for download and Enable file transfer for upload. Currently, If you select Yes for either of these parameters, both download and upload functions will be enabled. To completely deactivate file transfer, select No for both parameters.

    6. Enable copy and paste?*
    7. Enable triggers for file transfer?*
    8. Enable download for local access?*
    9. Can the user change the PuTTY installation directory?*
    10. Enable support for SSH domain credentials?*
    11. Mask for connection string when using SSH domain credentials*
    12. Segura server IPv6 Interface*
    13. PuTTY installation directory*: enter the executable where the directory is located.
    14. Keyboard Layout*
    15. Session text language (OCR)*
    16. Connection banner: write the message that will be displayed at the beginning of the session.
  5. In the Web Proxy section, if necessary, modify the parameters below:
    1. Convert /r/n to /n in SSH sessions performed in the browser?*
    2. Color depth: keep the default option or choose between 8 and 32 bits.
  6. In the Terminal Proxy section, if necessary, modify the parameters below:
    1. Enable SUDO automation in Linux sessions?*
    2. SSH terminal type*
  7. In the RDP Proxy section, if necessary, modify the parameters below:
    1. Ignore certificate errors?*
    2. RDP drive letter*: keep the default option or choose between letters D to Z.
    3. Enable the use of Ctrl+Alt+Del?*
    4. Enable RAIL over RDP?*
    5. Enable wallpaper in RDP sessions?*
    6. Include hostname in local login in RDP sessions?*
  8. Finally, in the Recording section, if necessary, modify the parameters below:
    1. Index session texts?*
    2. Enable input text index import?*
    3. Enable output text index import?*
    4. Enable user input recording?*
    5. Enable session video recording?*
    6. Enable session purging?*
    7. Number of days for purging*
    8. Web session image quality*
    9. Number of video frames (fps)*
    10. Web session image type*
    11. Enable session video download?*
      Warning

      After selecting the Keyboard layout and Session text language (OCR) in the RDP session through Web Proxy on Windows devices, make the adjustment inside the session at the Windows settings to the same keyboard and language selected at the parametrization.

  9. In the lower right corner, click Save.

Upon completion, a data saved successfully confirmation message will appear and your session will be configured and ready for use.
