This document provides information about a step-by-step guide on how to make a connection to a Segura® Platform server using a validated RDP client on Windows or macOS.
Once connected to Segura® Platform RDP Proxy, you must fill in the authentication data and the data of the remote device to be connected. The Segura® Platform authentication window and the steps that follow it are the same on both operating systems.
Requirements
- An RDP client installed on your workstation. More information in RDP Proxy.
Connect to a remote device
- Open your RDP client: Remote Desktop on Windows, or the Windows App on macOS.
- On the Computer field, type the IP address or the Segura® Platform hostname.
- The User name field is optional and can be filled in when requested on the Segura® Platform home screen.
- If you wish to fill in, enter the username used to access the vault.
- Click Connect.
- In the Segura® Platform initial window, enter the necessary data:
- Segura Credentials section:
- Username: user registered in the vault to be accessed.

AttentionWhen your password is reset or expires, the RDP Gate will display a message warning that the password needs to be changed and display the steps that the user must take to register a new password through the web interface.

- Username: credential of the device to be accessed.
- Personal password (optional field): if a personal credential is used, enter the credential password.
Info
