Authorizations for the application

This document provides information about the Authorizations for the application report screen, which displays information about the authorizations granted to registered applications.

Path to access

  1. In Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Product Menu and select DevOps Secret Manager.
  2. On the side menu, select Application Management > Authorizations for the application.

Actions menu

Item Type Description
Add Button Directs to the Authorizations for the application registration screen.
Actions Dropdown menu Displays the Print Report, Export CSV, and Schedule Report options.

Search fields

Item Type Description
ID Text field Filters authorizations by their identification code within the system.
Name Text field Filters authorizations by name.
System Text field Filters authorizations by the associated system.
Environment Text field Filters authorizations by environment.
Created at Date picker Filters authorizations by the period in which they were created.
Status Dropdown menu Filters authorizations by their state.

Report fields

  • ID.
  • Name.
  • System.
  • Environment.
  • Creation date: date and time when the authorization was created.
  • Status: current status of the authorization.
  • Actions:
    1. View Authorization: directs to the Authorization screen of the application in read mode.
    2. Edit: directs to the Authorization screen of the application in edit mode.

Application authorization screen - reading mode

This screen is used to view the authorization information and credentials for a specific application.

Item Type Description
Authentication method Text field Displays the authentication method configured for the application.
Application Text field Displays the name of the application for which the authorization is being viewed.
Client ID Text field Displays the client identifier (Client ID) used for OAuth authentication. It has a visibility icon that allows you to show/hide the full value.
Client Secret Text field Displays the secret key (Client Secret) used for OAuth authentication. It has a visibility icon that allows you to show/hide the full value.
Info

This screen is for information viewing only and does not allow direct editing of credentials. Visibility icons help protect sensitive information from people close to the user.

Application authorization - editing mode

This screen is used to modify authorization information for a specific application.

Security tab

Item Type Required Description
Authorized resources Check boxes Yes Defines the features that the app can access.
Expiration date/time Date and time fields No Defines the period of validity of the authorization.
Enable encryption of sensitive information? Toggle button No Enables or disables encryption for sensitive information.
Enable DSM application creation? Toggle button No Enables or disables the ability to create DSM applications.
Status Toggle button No Enables or disables the authorization status.
Environment Dropdown menu No Allows you to select the environment for authorization.
System Dropdown menu No Allows you to select the related system.

Allowed IPs Section

This section allows you to configure which IP addresses are allowed to use this authorization.

Item Type Description
ADDRESS Table Lists the authorized IPs.
Add Button Adds new IP addresses to the allowed list.

Allowed Referers section

This section defines the allowed sources for requests.

Item Type Description
Referer Table Lists the authorized referers.
Add Button Adds new referers to the allowed list.

Certificate Validation

Item Type Required Description
Certificate fingerprint Text field No Field to enter the fingerprint of the digital certificate for validation.

Secrets tab

Item Type Description
Add Button Allows you to add new secrets to the application.

Cryptographic keys

Item Type Description
Add Button Allows you to add new cryptographic keys.
