Requirements

To use the Task Manager module, you need the following:

  • A device with a port for remote access configured according to the system.
  • A credential with permission to execute scripts remotely on the device.
  • Registration of environment, system, and the reason for execution.
  • Execution templates.
  • An access group for this module.

Register environments

The configuration below is unnecessary if the desired environment is already registered in senhasegura.

  1. Access Settings➞System Parameters➞Segmentation➞Environments.
  2. In the top right corner, click (⁝) View actions, and select New.
  3. Set the environment Name.
  4. Save.

Register systems

The configuration below is unnecessary if the desired system is already registered in senhasegura.

  1. Access Settings➞System Parameters➞Segmentation➞Systems.
  2. In the top right corner, click (⁝) View actions, and select New.
  3. Set the environment Name.
  4. Save.

Register reasons to perform tasks

  1. Access Task Manager➞Settings➞Reasons.
  2. In the top right corner, click (⁝) View actions, and select New.
  3. Define the reason in Name and select the task Type.
  4. Save.

Register execution templates

  1. Access Executions➞Settings➞Templates.
  2. In the top right corner, click (⁝) View actions, and select New.
  3. Choose a Name that helps you quickly identify the template and select Yes to ensure it's enabled.
  4. In Executor, select the plugin this template will use.
  5. In Execution type, select the Task Manager option.
  6. In Content, enter the commands to be executed in the task.
  7. Save.

Create access groups

  1. Access the menu Task Manager➞Settings➞Access Groups.
  2. In the top right corner, click (⁝) View actions, and select New.
  3. Choose an Access group name that helps you quickly identify the group and select Yes to ensure it's enabled.
  4. Under Settings, define whether members must justify and/or request approvals to perform a task.
  5. Under Criteria, choose the environments and systems where group members can perform tasks.
  6. Under Users, add users who are members of the group. If you have added a user by mistake, click on the trash can icon located in the first column of the table to remove unwanted users.
  7. Add users in Approvers only if member approval was required while configuring the group in Settings.
    Caution
    If your approval is in levels, it's necessary to define the level of approval for each one. The chosen level indicates the approval step at which this user is notified.
  8. Save.
Caution
senhasegura works with permission levels. If the user added to the Task Manager access group is in another group with more restrictions, he may not see information within the module.
