This document provides a step-by-step guide for administrators to add and edit the access reasons to be used during task execution requests in Task Manager.
Requirements
- System or Task Manager administrator permission.
Path to access
- On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Task Manager.
- In the side menu, select Access control > Access reasons.
Add access reason
To add an access reason that can be used when requesting a task execution in Task Manager, follow these steps:
The Type component doesn’t reflect current settings, since all Task Manager access reasons are of type Task execution.

In the upper-right corner of the Access reasons screen, click Add.

On the Add access reason screen, fill in:
AlertFields with an asterisk are mandatory.
- Name*: name to identify the access reason.
- Type*: select the access reason type.
- Status*: enable or disable the access reason.

Click Save.
Edit access reason
To edit an access reason added in Task Manager, follow these steps:
- On the Access reasons screen, identify the desired access reason or use the search filters.
- Click the Actions button and select Edit.
- On the Edit access reason screen, make the necessary changes.
- Click Save.
Disable access reason
To disable an access reason added in Task Manager, follow these steps:
- On the Access reasons screen, identify the desired access reason or use the search filters.
- Click the Actions button and select Edit.
- On the Edit access reason screen, disable the Status toggle button.
- Click Save.
Enable access reason
To enable a disabled access reason in Task Manager, follow these steps:
- On the Access reasons screen, identify the Status filter and select Disabled.
- In the disabled access reasons list, identify the desired access reason.
- Click the Actions button and select Edit.
- On the Edit access reason screen, enable the Status toggle button.
- Click Save.
