Exceptional Access

Exceptional access is a feature that allows authorized users to have temporary permissions in extraordinary situations. This can be useful when edits need to be made without following the already established approval flow.

Once the credential expires, access and permissions are automatically revoked, ending all open sessions. In addition, senhasegura uses just-in-time credentials to ensure the security of these accesses. By recording the sessions, it’s possible to perform audits in the same way as in conventional sessions.

Here are some examples of when exceptional access can be used:

• To resolve a technical issue that is preventing the normal approval flow.
• To make an urgent edit that can’t wait for the normal approval flow.
• To provide access to an external user who needs to make an edit.
