It replaces the existing certificate with a new one, maintaining the same domain and organization validations, but allowing updates such as a new private key or CSR (*Certificate Signing Request*). Currently, **Certificate Manager** only supports reissue for certificates signed by GoDaddy. ## When should I reissue a certificate? Reissue certificates in scenarios such as: - Installation on a new machine, but loss of the original file. - Private key compromised (revoke the previous one after reissuance). - Inability to export the private key from the original server. - Need for a new CSR to update configurations, without extending validity. ## How to reissue a certificate? See [How to reissue GoDaddy certificates](/v4-2/docs/certificates-flow-how-to-reissue-godaddy-certificates) for more information on how to reissue a GoDaddy certificate.
