How to request a password change from the credentials list

Prev Next

This document provides information on how to request a password change from the Access credentials screen on PAM Core. As a credential administrator, you can execute password rotation directly from the credentials list.

Requirements

  • Be an administrative user with permission to change passwords. More information in How to manage users.
  • Have an eligible credential for password change, with a configured rotation policy and valid connectivity. More information in How to set up a credential.

Request password change

  1. On Segura® Platform, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select PAM Core.
  2. In the side menu, select Credentials > All credentials.
  3. Identify the credential whose password you want to change and, in the Actions column, select the Request password change option from the dropdown menu.
    Info

If the credential is ineligible or a pending/active execution already exists, the Request password change option will be unavailable. In this case, the system displays a message stating the reason for the unavailability.

  4. A confirmation modal will be displayed. Select Yes to confirm or No to cancel the action.
  5. On the Request password change screen, fill in the Schedule date * field with the date and time you wish to change the password, or keep the current date and time for an immediate password change.
  6. Click Save.

After saving the request, the system will display a success notification on the screen containing a link to the Executions module. By clicking this link, you will be directed to the Operation details screen, where you can track the progress of your request. After completion, the log is recorded in the password change audit report of the Executions module.
