This document provides information about the Self-request settings form screen, which allows you to set rules and permissions for requests made directly by the user on the Segura ® platform.

Access path

  1. In Segura, on the navigation bar, hover over the Product Menu and select Settings.
  2. In the side menu, select Self-service > Settings.

Self-request Configuration

Item Type Required Description
Enable self request Toggle button Yes Enables or disables the use of access requests by the user themselves.
Expiration time Quantity picker and Dropdown menu No Selects the quantity and type of the Self-service request expiration period. Options are Minutes, Hours, Days, and Months. The maximum time is 100.

Request types

Item Type Required Description
Enable roles requests Toggle button Yes Allows requesting functions.
Enable credential request Toggle button Yes Enables the request for domain credential registration.
Enable access policies requests Toggle button Yes Allows requesting access policies.
Enable access policy administration requests Toggle button Yes Allows requests to administer access policies.
Enable handover access policy administration requests Toggle button Yes Allows requests based on access policies transferred between users.

List of roles available for request

Item Type Required Description
Add Button No Opens the Roles modal.
Roles table Table No Each role's data includes the fields Checkbox, Role, Built-In, and Description.

List of global approvers

Item Type Required Description
Add Button No Opens the Approvers modal.
Approvers table Table No Data for each approver with fields checkbox, ID, Name, Username, Email, Department, and Level.

AD Provisioning

Item Type Required Description
Enable AD provisioning Toggle button No Defines if the credential will be automatically provisioned in Active Directory.
Credential type Dropdown menu Yes Select the type of credential to be created.
Domain Dropdown menu Yes Defines the domain of the credential.
Target device Dropdown menu Yes Defines on which device the credential will be applied.
Change plugin Dropdown menu No Determines the plugin used for password or credential swapping.
Credential creation template Dropdown menu No Allows selecting a default template for credential creation.
Authentication credential Dropdown menu No Determines which credential will be used for authentication during the creation of the new credential.
Username mask Text field No Defines the user mask to be used.
Add Button No Adds a new entry to the Variables table.
Variables Table No List of available variables that can be used in the username template.

To configure the mask correctly, use the markers below:

  • [#VARIABLE#]: will be replaced by each value entered in the list shown in the Variables table.
  • [#USERNAME#]: will be automatically replaced by the user's username.
