This document provides information on how to configure signature reasons. The reasons justify the actions of signing and publishing digital certificates.
Create a signature reason
To create a signature reason, see the following steps:
- On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Certificate Manager.
- In the side menu, select Management > Informations > Signature reasons.
- In the top right corner, click Add.
- In the Name * field, enter a name for the reason.
- In the Type * field, select the type of the reason.
- In the Status button, toggle it to activate or deactivate the signature reason.
- Click Save.
The new signature reason created will appear listed in the Signature reasons report.
Edit a signature reason
To edit a signature reason, see the following steps:
- On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Certificate Manager.
- In the side menu, select Management > Informations > Signature reasons.
- In the desired signature reason, click Actions > Edit.
- Edit the desired fields.
- Click Save to save the changes.

In the upper right corner, the eye icon provides information about the date and time of creation and update of the profile.
Deactivate a signature reason
To deactivate a signature reason, see the following steps:
- On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Certificate Manager.
- In the side menu, select Management > Informations > Signature reasons.
- In the desired signature reason, click Actions > Edit.
- In the Status button, toggle it to off to deactivate the signature reason.
- Click Save to confirm the deactivation.
