How to add secrets to Azure applications

This document provides information on how to add secrets to Azure applications. An Azure application secret is a password-like credential used to authenticate an Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) application when accessing Azure resources or services.

Add a secret

To add a secret to an Azure application, see the following steps:

  1. Access Cloud Security.
  2. Access the Cloud Entitlements product.
  3. In the Cloud Entitlements menu, click Identities.
  4. In the Identities report, select one Azure application and click the Findings tab.
  5. In the Findings tab, go to the Secrets section and click + Add.
  6. In the Secret name * field, enter a name for the secret.
  7. In the Expiration date field, enter an expiration date for the secret.
  8. Click Create new secret.

The newly added secret will appear in the Secrets section.
