How to create AWS users

This document provides information on how to create AWS users directly on Cloud Entitlements.

Requisites

An AWS account in Read and Write integration mode.

Create AWS users

To create AWS users in Cloud Entitlements, see the following steps:

1. Access Cloud Security.
2. Access the Cloud Entitlements product.
3. In the Cloud Entitlements menu, click Identities.
4. Click + Add and select New AWS entity.
5. In the Basics tab, enter the following information:
   1. In the User principal name * field, enter a name for the user.
   2. Optional: In the Console enabled button, toggle to enable AWS console.
   3. Optional: In the Password * field, save the generated password. Note that you won’t be able to view this password after creating the user, and you will be prompted to change it upon your first login. This field is only visible if the Console enabled button is enabled.
6. Click Next.
7. In the Policies tab, choose the AWS account and select the policies.
8. Click Next.
9. In the Review + create tab, review the information entered previously and click Create.

The newly created user will appear in the Identities report.
