This document provides information about the Glossary version registration screen, which allows you to update the configuration of a glossary version used to identify devices during discovery operations on Segura. This screen is the same as the one displayed when clicking the New glossary, New domain glossary, or Change glossary buttons.
Path to access
- On Segura, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Discovery.
- In the side menu, select Management > Glossary.
- On the Device Glossary screen, click the Actions button and, from the dropdown menu, select one of the options: New glossary or New domain glossary.
or - In the selected record, in the Actions column, click on Change Glossary.
Settings tab
This tab provides information about defining the basic properties of the glossary version.

Version ID string* | Text field | Yes | Defines the identification string used to recognize the device during discovery scans. |
Enabled* | Radio button | Yes | Activates or deactivates the use of the glossary version. |
Order* | Quantity input | Yes | Sets the order of execution priority for this glossary version. Lower numbers indicate higher priority. |
Device configuration tab
This tab provides information about defining the technical specification of the device associated with the glossary version. This option is only available when selecting the New domain glossary button, as it refers specifically to domain-based glossaries that require device configuration to properly identify and categorize discovered assets.
