A third party who registers on the portal cannot sign in or see any resource until you approve them. Approving the registration is what creates their user account, so treat it as the point where an external person gains a foothold in your environment.
Requirements
- The Domum.Portal.Review permission. The built-in Portal Operator role carries it, and Domum Administrator includes it too. To assign a role, see How to manage user roles.
- A pending registration submitted through the portal. To see what the third party submits, see Register as a third party on the Vendor Access Portal.
Steps
- On Segura®, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Domum Remote Access.
- In the side menu, select Management > Portal settings.
- Select the Onboarding approvals tab.
- Find the pending registration and select Review.
- Check the details the third party submitted: their name, their organization, their email address, and their phone number. These fields are read-only.
- In Assigned organization, select the vendor organization the third party belongs to. You cannot approve without one.
- Select Approve, or Reject and, optionally, fill in Reason for rejection.
The organization the third party typed is free text, so it is a claim, not a fact. Verify who they are through your own channel before you assign them to an organization. This choice determines what that organization can reach, and from where.
Verify your results
The approved third party becomes a limited user in Domum Remote Access and can now sign in to the portal. They see only the resources assigned to the organization you picked.
The product emails them a Portal registration approved message carrying the portal address.
