How to add an EPM macOS security analyst user

This document provides information on how to add a new user to the Segura® Platform and assign the EPM macOS security analyst role.

Add an EPM macOS Security Analyst user

To add an security analyst user in EPM macOS, see the following steps:

  1. On Segura® Platform, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Settings.
  2. In the side menu, select User management > Users.
  3. In the Users report, click Add.
  4. In the Settings tab, enter the following information:
    1. In the Name * field, enter the user's full name.
    2. In the Username * field, enter a unique identifier for the user. This will be used for login.
    3. Optional: In the Set current password field, toggle if you want to define an initial password.
      1. In the New password field, create a new password or click Generate to create one automatically.
  5. In the Department field, select the user's department.
  6. In the E-mail field, enter the user’s email address.
  7. In the Telephone field, enter the user’s phone number.
  8. In the Status field, select Enable to enable the user.
  9. In the User group field, select a group.
  10. Click Continue.
  11. In the Roles tab, click + Add to select the roles for the user.
    1. Select the macOS EPM Security Analyst and click Add.
  12. Click Continue.
  13. Optional: In the Access policies tab, click + Add to select the access policies for the user.
    1. Select the desired policies and click Add.
  14. Click Continue.
  15. In the Review tab, review all information entered previously and click Save.

The newly created user will appear in the Users report.
