This guide explains how EPM macOS behaves when a privileged execution request, subject to multiple levels of approval, is rejected by one of the approvers.
Requirements
- The application must be linked to a policy with a tiered approval workflow.
- EPM macOS must be installed on the device.
Rejection flow for a request with tiered approval
- Left double click to open the desired application to open it through the OS or EPM macOS screen.
- Fill in the Justification and define the execution window.
- Click Submit request.
- The backend sends the request to the first-level approvers.
- If any approver rejects the request:
- Execution is blocked.
- The request does not proceed to the next approval level.
- When the user tries to run the application again, the following message is displayed: "Your last request to run this application was rejected by the administrator. Please submit a new request."
- Repeat the procedure and be more detailed with your justification.

Even if only one approver at any level rejects the request, it is immediately terminated. To proceed, the user must submit a new request.
