How to register an execution template

This document provides information about the step-by-step process for registering an execution template.

Requirements

• Be an administrator user.

Register the template

1. In Segura, on the navigation bar, hover over the Product menu and select Executions.
2. In the side menu, select Template control > Templates.
3. In the actions menu, click Add.
4. In the displayed screen, fill in the fields:
   1. Name*: identification name of the template.
   2. Status: enables the template status.
   3. Executor*: select the executor type from the options.
   4. Execution type*: select the execution type from the options.
   5. Playbook: select the set of instructions from the options.
   6. Inventory: select the devices that the playbook will execute from the options.
   7. Content: text with the content to be executed by the template.

      For filling in the Content field, Segura provides a template library, and a list of possible tags that will make up the template, which can be viewed in the View tags button.

5. Click Save.

If the template approval flow is activated, an approver's action will be necessary for the registered template to be active and used. You can track the request in the My requests report.

The registered template will be available in the report list, where you can perform the actions of editing, cloning, and accessing the change history of the template.
