How to register a device profile

This document provides information on the step-by-step process for registering a device profile.

Requirements

  • Have the role of system administrator.
Attention

The credential and device profiles serve as a template for new credentials on devices that fit one of these types of profile. But once you have registered the Credential, you have complete freedom to change the settings for executing the credential. Changing profiles also doesn't change the credential settings already registered.

Register device profile

  1. In Segura, on the navigation bar, hover over the Product Menu and select Executions.
  2. In the side menu, select Management > Device Profiles.
  3. In the Device Profiles report, in the list of registered devices, in the Actions column, click the Actions button and select Add.
  4. In the Configure device execution profile form, fill in the fields:
    1. Device*: select the equipment.
    2. Plugin: select the plugin from the available options.
    3. Change template: select the template from the available options.
    4. Plugin: select the plugin from the available options.
    5. Enabling template: select the template from the available options.
    6. Plugin: select the plugin from the available options.
    7. Disabling template: select the template from the available options.
    8. Access credential*: select the credential from the available options.
  5. Click Save.

After registration, the device execution profile will be created.
