This document provides information for deploying Segura on Microsoft Azure using a virtual appliance of the Segura® application.
Requirements
- To deploy using a public image, your location and one of the available virtual appliances must be compatible.
- Create the virtual machine in Step 2 according to the Segura® Platform Sizing Recommendation.
Step 1: Select a public image
- Log in to Microsoft Azure.
- In the Services category, select Community images.
- Use the search bar at the top left corner of the Community images page and enter “senseg” to filter the virtual appliances available.
- Choose from the publicly virtual appliances the one that suits your location:

Important
If there is no suitable virtual appliance available for your location, you’ll need to manually upload the application virtual appliance. More information in How to deploy on Azure by manually uploading the application image.
Step 2: Create a Virtual Machine
- After selecting the virtual appliance, click Create VM.
- When creating a virtual machine, fill in the following fields as instructed below:
- In the Basics tab, set the Select inbound ports field to HTTP 80 and HTTPS 443.
- In the Basics tab, set the License type field to Other.
- In the Basics tab, under the Size field, select the size specified in the requirements.
- In the Basics tab, set the Public inbound ports field to Allow selected ports.
- In the Monitoring tab, under Boot diagnostics, select Disable.
InfoMake sure to also fill the mandatory fields not listed before.
- Click Create.
- Wait for the confirmation message: Your deployment is complete.
- After deployment confirmation, click Go to resource.
- On the virtual machine page, copy the Public IP.
- Open your browser and paste the Public IP into the address bar.
By following these steps, the Segura® activation screen will be displayed, and the deployment will be completed.
Important
Don't change the settings in the Management and Advanced tabs.
