This document provides information for deploying Segura® on Microsoft Azure, with two available options:
- Using a public virtual appliance, available directly via Azure.
- Manually uploading the virtual appliance in
VHD
format to your storage account.
Step 1: Select a public virtual appliance
At this stage, you must choose which method will be used to start the application deployment on Azure.
Option 1: How to deploy on Azure using a public virtual appliance
This option allows a faster deployment using a public virtual appliance available through the Azure Marketplace.
Requirements
Your location must be compatible with one of the available virtual appliances.
Select a virtual appliance
- Log in to Microsoft Azure.
- In the Services category, select Community images.
- In the search bar at the top left of the Community images page, enter
"senseg"
to filter the available virtual appliances. - From the available options, select the virtual appliance suitable for your location:

If no suitable virtual appliance is available for your region, you must upload the application virtual appliance manually as described in Option 2.
Option 2: How to deploy on Azure by manually uploading the application virtual appliance
This option allows you to manually upload the .VHD
appliance file to your Azure account.
Requirements
To deploy Segura® on Azure, you must have the Segura® virtual appliance in VHD
format. To download it, go to the Support Portal.
Create a disk

Log in to the Microsoft Azure portal.

Use Azure Storage Explorer to upload the
VHD
file to your Storage Account. -
In the Services category, select Disks.

Click +Create.

When creating the Disk, fill in the following fields in the Basics tab as instructed below:
- Source type: select Storage blob
- Source blob: select the
VHD
file uploaded in step 2 - OS type: select Linux
- VM generation: select Generation 1
- VM architecture: select x64
- Size: select a size equal to or larger than the
VHD
file size
All other fields can be filled in according to your environment needs.
- Wait for the confirmation message: Your deployment is complete.
Step 2: Create a virtual machine

After selecting the virtual appliance, click Create VM.

When creating the virtual machine, fill in the following fields:
- In the Basics tab, set Select inbound ports to HTTP 80 and HTTPS 443.
- In the Basics tab, set License type to Other.
- In the Basics tab, under Size, select the size defined in the Segura® platform sizing recommendation.
- In the Basics tab, set Public inbound ports to Allow selected ports.
- In the Monitoring tab, set Boot diagnostics to Disable.
Make sure to fill in other required fields not listed above.
- Click Create.
- Wait for the confirmation message: Your deployment is complete.
- After deployment, click Go to resource.
- On the virtual machine page, copy the Public IP.
- Open your browser and paste the Public IP into the address bar.
By following these steps, the Segura® activation screen will appear, and the deployment will be complete.
Do not modify the settings in the Management and Advanced tabs.
If you see the Internal Server Error message, wait a few minutes and refresh the page.
