How to integrate with Slack

This document provides information on how to integrate Segura® Platform notifications with Slack.

Requirements

• A Slack account.
• A Slack bot created and installed with the following scopes:
  • chat:write
  • im:write
  • users:read
  • users:read.email

Integrate Slack with Segura® Platform

After having your bot created and installed, copy the OAuth token. More information in Creating an app from app settings.

With your OAuth token, see the following steps:

1. In the Segura® Platform, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Settings.
2. In the side menu, select Notifications > Slack.
3. In the Bot User OAuth Token field, paste the OAuth token and click Save.

Optional: Send notifications to approvers and requesters

To send notifications to approvers and requesters about changes in the approval workflow, you must enable the Slack global system parameters. See the following steps:

1. In the Segura® Platform, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Settings.
2. In the side menu, select System parameters > Global.
3. In the Access control tab, go to the Notifications section.
4. In the Notify requester of result of the request through: field, select Slack.
5. In the Notify approver of new requests through: field, select Slack.
6. Click Save.
