How to access Database Proxy with a temporary token

This document describes how to use a temporary token to authenticate a connection in Database Proxy.

Requirements

• Have generated a temporary token on the Segura® Platform. If you have not generated the token yet, see the document How to generate a temporary token for proxy access.
• Use a compatible database client, such as DBeaver.

Start the connection in the database client

1. Open the database client.
2. Configure or start the connection to the destination configured for the proxy.
3. In the authentication fields, enter your username.
4. In the password field, enter the temporary token.
5. Wait for authentication.
6. Confirm that the connection was established successfully.

After completing the steps above, the connection in Database Proxy will be authenticated with the temporary token, without using local credentials.
