This document describes how to register authenticator applications in the Segura® Platform to enable two-factor authentication (2FA). This method adds an extra layer of security to your login by requiring a one-time code generated by your application.
Requirements
- User registered in the Segura® Platform.
- A TOTP-based authenticator application installed.
Register an authenticator application
- On Segura® Platform, in the navigation bar, click the User menu and select Configure MFA.
- When you select the Authenticator Apps option, you’ll be directed to the Authenticator Apps screen, which displays a QR Code and an authentication code.

The authentication code displayed on this screen is provided for situations where QR Code scanning capabilities are unavailable.
- Launch your selected authenticator application and proceed with the application's instructions for either scanning the QR Code or manually entering the authentication code.
- The authenticator application will generate an authentication code. Copy this code to the Enter authentication code field.
- Click Validate to complete the registration process.
A success message will confirm the successful completion of the process. During your next login attempt, you’ll be prompted to provide an authentication token after entering your access credentials.
