This document provides information on how to create a service account in Cloud Security.
Service accounts are used by applications, scripts or services to interact with the Cloud Security platform. They allow the execution of automated tasks, access to databases, and the performance of specific processes without direct user intervention.
Create a service account
To create a service account, see the following steps:
- Access Cloud Security.
- Click the User menu icon located on the top right corner of your screen.
- In the dropdown menu, click Admin Console.
- In the Settings menu, click Service accounts.
- In the Service accounts report, click the + Add service account button.
- In the Name * field, enter a name for the service account.
- Select the roles you want to add for the service account and click Save.
Once the service account is created, make sure to copy the client secret. Otherwise you’ll have to create a new service account or regenerate the token of the current service account.
