How to reissue GoDaddy certificates

Prev Next

This document provides information on how to reissue GoDaddy certificates.

When reissuing, you have two options: either generate and automatically sign the request, or generate the request only, allowing you to sign it at a later time.

Info

Reissuing a certificate does not consume any credits from your GoDaddy account and can be done repeatedly until the product expires.

Requirements

  • A valid GoDaddy product.
  • If you want to add multiple sub-domains, you need a GoDaddy product that supports it.

Option 1: Generate the request and sign

To generate the reissue request and sign it immediately, see the following steps:

  1. On Segura® Platform, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Certificate Manager.
  2. In the side menu, select Certificates > SSL/TLS.
  3. In the desired certificate, click Actions > Reissue certificate.
  4. In the Generate the request and sign field, select to generate the request and sign it and click Save.
  5. In the New request signature screen, select the GoDaddy CA, enter a justification, a reason and click Continue.
  6. In the Review tab, review all the information entered previously and click Save.

Now, wait until your request has been signed and view it in the SSL/TLS requests report.

Option 2: Generate the request only

To generate the reissue request only, see the following steps:

  1. On Segura® Platform, in the navigation bar, hover over the Products menu and select Certificate Manager.
  2. In the side menu, select Certificates > SSL/TLS.
  3. In the desired certificate, click Actions > Reissue certificate.
  4. In the Just generate the request field, select it to just generate the request and not sign it.

After generating the request, it will be available in the SSL/TLS requests report. You can sign it at any moment.

Info

Use this option if you want to change or add new domains.
