Applications

Prev Next

This document provides information about the graphical interface of the EPM macOS agent for the Applications section, where applications authorized for use are displayed as defined by administrators in the Administrative Web Console.

Access path

In the EPM macOS agent, select the Applications option in the side menu.

Applications screen

This section provides details about the Applications screen, where it is possible to view the applications available as registered in Segura® Platform.

Item Type Description
Search bar Text field Allows quickly locating applications by name.
Refresh Button Reloads the list and states, synchronizing with the Administrative Web Console.
Execute Tab Displays the applications whose execution is allowed (without elevation).
Restricted Tab Displays the applications with execution blocked.
Application card Card Shows the application icon, application name, application additional information, and session recording icon. More information on what the session recording icon means in Session recording status in applications.
Last synchronization Text field Displays the date and time of the last synchronization of policies.

Session recording status in applications

Within applications, different visual signals indicate the recording status:

  • Green camera (Recording Enabled): indicates that recording is enabled. All sessions started will be subject to automatic recording.
  • Red camera (Recording Disabled): indicates that recording is disabled. No recording will take place during the session.
  • Purple icon (Recording in Progress): during an active session, a purple icon in the upper left corner of the screen shows that recording is in progress. Only the specific session will be recorded, while other screen areas remain private.

If you choose to stop recording, this action immediately ends the recording process, halting activity logging for the session.

Notes

  • The Applications screen is informative for the end user and reflects the policies applied by EPM; configurations (allow, restrict, approve elevation) are made in the Administrative Web Console by the administrator.
  • The displayed states depend on synchronization with the Administrative Web Console and may change when new policies are applied.
