Application usage

This document provides information about the Applications usage screen, which displays a consolidated record of application executions on endpoints. This report allows for the analysis of application usage frequency, helping to identify essential versus unused software for licensing and security optimization.

Path to access

  1. On Segura® Platform, on the navigation bar, hover over the Products Menu and select EPM.
  2. In the side menu, select Reports > Windows > Applications usage.

Actions menu

Item Type Description
Actions Dropdown menu Displays the options: Print report, Export CSV and Schedule report.

Search Fields

Item Type Description
Name Text field Filters the applications by the name.
Execution Date picker Filters the applications by the execution date.

Report Fields

  • Code: application usage code.
  • Name: application name.
  • Executions: amount of executions of the application.
  • Status: application status.
  • Create at: date and time of the application creation.
  • Number of devices: number of devices that used the application

  • This report registers executions periodically sent by the client to the backend. It serves as the basis for analyzing usage frequency and identifying applications that are installed but not actively utilized.
  • By default, the report displays 30 records per screen. To go to the next screen, click the forward buttons at the end of the report.

This screen provides information about the details of the applications executions.

Path to access

  1. On Segura® Platform, on the navigation bar, hover over the Products Menu and select EPM.
  2. In the side menu, select Reports > Windows > Application usage.
  3. In the Application usage report, find an application and click Details.
Item Type Description
Application name Text field Application name.
Hostname Text field Hostname where the application was executed.
Execution Text field Date and time when the application was executed.
